Tire-Easy.ca versus TireTrends.ca
Looking at buying some tires for my 2004 S4 and I was
wondering if anybody have ever used Tire-Easy.ca or Tire Trends.ca before. Prices are looking pretty good been was wondering if there's any catch (shipping cost....).

I would suggest you have a look at Tire Rack - Your performance experts for tires and wheels - I have used them (along with multiple colleagues at work here in Calgary...) with great success. You can get the complete pricing (taxes, duties, shipping, etc...) online so you know exactly what you're going to pay. With the CDN dollar exchange rate right now, the prices at tirerack.com offer considerable savings.

After comparing all prices from many providers TireTrends.ca (better then Tire Rack) was the best deal around and I decided to go with them.

Tiretrends has been a dead website for a while. How did you manage to do business with them?
Also, a cautionary tale for anyone who purchases tires in the US. Good luck with warranty replacement. From personal experience.

You are right about TireTrends and I ended up buying from Tire-Easy.ca. I have to say the ordering process was very easy, the price was excellent and delivery was quick. I will for certain use Tire-Easy for my next purchases.

So what tire did you buy? I would have great difficulty choosing between some of the well known brands they sell. All the greats are there, Nankang, Sunny, Triangle, Diamondback, Accelera, Sonar, Rotalla, Lexani, Runway, Achilles,(seriously?), Venezia,
Ironman, Velozza, Eldorado, and my favourite, Linglong.
Seriously dude, if you put ANY of those tires on your car, I am driving to Calgary and taking the keys away.

discounttire.com is an awesome website, free shipping to the lower 48 so i just drove across and picked them up, and no outrageous shipping, tires-easy.ca quoted $173 to ship 4 tires which added $43 to each tire

On the last set of tires, they screwed up, and placed an order for Nittos for me (they can't sell Nittos in Canada). So, to rectify their mistake, they gave me a set of BFGoodrich KWDs for about $50 off per tire!
Shipping is always super fast, and duties/brokerage/etc is included in the original price. So, it is easy to comparison shop.
Also, if you call them, they will usually price match if you find it somewhere cheaper.
IMHO, you really can't beat them, unless they dont stock what you are looking for.
