I'm sure now that half the world is full of complete a-holes and the other half (excluding Audi owner and the like) are the next thing to brain dead. CDN Tire passed me when I should have failed. I told Ozzie the story but we need not advertise. I'm now waiting for my OPI on Wed and the second I'm done there I'll be back at the speed shop that did my DRL's and I'll be an unpleasant fellow for a few minutes (I'll wait until he undoes what he did) and then I'll leave never to return.

The local Audi dealership treated me like a piece of crap and I'll never darken their door again. The speed shop I went to said that many importers run into the same "nose up" treatment probably from a guy that roles in a (pick a car) and has never owned an Audi or anything like it. This is BS and a fairly concise letter will soon be on it's way to Audi of America. I love the car but do in fact hate the hassles and treatment. All I wanted was some fun and games!

When you write that letter to Audi Canada/of America mention my name too: Max Martin!
I have promised AUDI that I will not buy another vehicle with their emblem on it!!!

Just the way I feel!

The most frustrating part of the process was waiting over a week for RIV to send the Form 2 while my new Audi was sat in the garage unable to be driven. Overall it was well worthwhile and I'm happy with the car and my decision to import. I still don't know how Audi USA can legally refuse to sell Canadians new cars though.
How'd he switch on th drl's with a vag com?Can this be done on 06 A4?

Happy to say that my 06 Brilliant Red A4 has arrived!!
As for the import process,I didnt find it that hard. The veh arrived with the form 1 and title.I faxed those off to the RIV,and recd my form 2 the next day!
I went to the registries, got my oopi form(although some places request the federal insp done 1st before they will give out the OOPI).Next moring crappy tire did the oop and federal,$150.00.My DRLs were activated by westside auto using a vag-com.No other prob's,car passed and is on the road!
On a side note,my 01 1.8T was awesome,but the 2.0t...crazy!!!!!!!!!!
Just thought I would share my experience.
