Default Importing from USA.

Hello Everyone,

After quite a bit of research I have decided to buy an A4. I have just moved to Canada from US and I am really surprised to see the difference in car prices despite such a strong Canadian dollar. I did not bring my car along as it was a very old one and I got a decent price for it. My friends here tell me that there are agencies who can help importing cars from USA and can take care of entire paper work and modifications to pass the requirements here. Unfortunately they do not know one themselves. Have any of you imported a car from USA? If you know anyone or any company which can import cars from USA then please share. What are the mods needed in an A4 to meet the requirements here?

Also, do you guys have any idea of possible timeline when 2009 A4 would be available in Canada (the one with front axle moved forward and LED headlamps)?

Thanks in advance.
M.

Registrar of Imported Vehicles

The mods needed on a b6 and newer cars is the daytime running lights. It is a fairly simple procedue to import the car and it can turn into a bit of a vacation in my opinion. As for the modifictions I run the Calgary Audi Club and I can do it for you as long as you join the club membbership is $40 per year and glenmore audi charges $600 for fog lights alone. PM me by clicking on my nickname and sending a private message if you got any questions.

I've got a broker that I deal with out of Vancouver for importing that has access to all the Mannheim (dealer wholesale) auctions in the US. They handle absolutely everything for you and all at invoice cost plus a (very) small brokerage fee. If you're interested in pursuing that route further let me know and can hook you up with the contact info.

I did my inspection, make sure everyhting is checked running good nothing split. Make sure all doors work from outside and inside, you need DRL's Batt Tie down, Canadian tire will do the inspection.

What kind of Audi are you looking for? I have a friend that will
do everything including find you the nicest car at the best price in
the U.S. and have it brought up. I am new on this forum but
I myself have imported 2 Audis through my friend. He is very
professional and will do it for a good price. Let me know.
