Anyone in Victoria BC?

Re: Anyone in Victoria BC?
Hey folks! I'm downtown Victoria, 01 TT roadster. Love it.
Have been to Speedway, great customer service and so far decent service.
Are there ever any meet-ups for Audi drivers?

Re: Anyone in Victoria BC?
I was once a member of the Vancouver Audi Club, and I know they have some meetings regularly. I met Jamie and Tarpan through that club, but that was a long time ago. I currently have an '00 A6 2.8 30V with a PES G2, a stock '06 A4 2.0T and a stock '09 S8 5.2 V10. Wouldn't mind meeting up with people for a nice drive through the interior or elsewhere. I can't comment on any good shops in the lower mainland, I have been to Euro Otto Sport, Shift Autosport and Blitzkrieg and none of them stand out as being worth their labour costs. Euro Otto Sport took over a week to fix my coolant leak. Shift Autosport didn't recognize my tie-rod ends were shot and Blitzkrieg did a hack job putting my car back together after my timing belt service. I take my car to OpenRoad Audi and so far things have been decent.

Thanks Lyosha. I don't regularly go to Vancouver so I was hoping to connect with others on the island. Ever hear about Autospeil or Forward Auto? I have to get the front tie rod and struts done.
I'd like to get a Victoria crew together. I see TTs everywhere!

Re: Anyone in Victoria BC?
If you do happen to meet up with other enthusiasts for an island meet, let me know as I would like to join you. The Vancouver Audi Club is now mainly open only to A4 owners the last time I checked. I have only owned my S8 for a short period of time and would love to rip it from Victoria to Tofino and back to Vancouver.

Re: Anyone in Victoria BC?
Vancouver Audi Club.ca LR, Tarpan and Jamie are still there, and the club's website is picking up more and more traffic. Good to meet up with those boys once in a while too.
Know nothing about Autospeil, but Forward Automotive is excellent, used to take my P-car there. Gary seems a little odd, he always seems disconnected, but he's a great tech and very knowedgeable. Great service overall.

Re: Anyone in Victoria BC?
I agree! I think we should all get together one Saturday afternoon or even after work sometime. Perhaps a ride up the Malahat to the restaurant on the top of the mountain and have a pint and a bite? Malahat Mountain Inn?
Any takers? I'm open anytime but the August long weekend.

Re: Anyone in Victoria BC?
I might visit the site and see if Tarpan has his car up and running. Hopefully Jamie fixed his clutch issues. I have cleared up all the problems with my A6 and it is running great now. I also added an '09 S8 5.2 V10 to my stable about two months ago. I remember Tarpan wasn't going to be able to make it to the Harrison Barbecue that year since his car wasn't up and running so I was going to take my A6 and he was supposed to take my A4.

VAC didn shut down on purpose... Thanks to noob techs with our server we lost everything.
VAC is for everyone that's an Audi Enthusiast, we even let our second family (VW'S) join in the fun too.
So to clear some stuff up VAC is not just about A4's
We like verity!
