I have looked everywhere but haven't be able to figure out how to lock the doors without a key.
You know when you are leaving the house and have to grab something out of the Audi and just want to close the doors and have the vehicle locked. I just want to save having to go back in the house to leave the key there. I know it is a minor inconvenience but I have never seen this on any vehicle I have ever owned.
Also does anyone have any suggestions on how to get a replacement key. Is the dealer the only way?
Do you have the smart key options, where you just need to have the FOB in your pocket do lock/unlock and start?
Either way regardless of what you have the key needs to be near the car in order for the car to lock/unlock. If you leave the key inside the car it will not lock itself.
To get spare keys you can either go to dealer or buy the FOBs on ebay and program them.

Not true. If you open the rear passenger door and hit the lock button it will lock the doors and then you shut the rear passenger door, and the car is locked
you may have to reach onto driver door to hit lock button to lock all doors - depending on model, then close rear door. Better have key somewhere else than inside car
