Audi S/RS ModelsThe sheer power and performance of Audi's "S" and "RS" models
If you are serious about tuning your car look up JH Motorsport on the web. Specialists on the 4.2 S4. Serious people with some serious parts. They have a fantastic tune for our cars.
It sounds like JHM is a little more hardcore, and I like that... But I wouldnt be willing to void my CPO warranty for any mod. Once thats expired then I'd go that route. So until then I'm stuck, as APR doesn't have the programming/calibration in place for the Simos 6. Why did Audi switch from Bosch in the first place?

dunno. it's not Audi's fault, it's APR being lazy on a tough to mod platform. They use Siemens ECU units on all the new cars I belive. They just changed suppliers. (Simos=Siemens)
anyway, just be happy that you won't waste your money!
best tune for a B6/7 S4? DOWNPIPES
Bare minimum, gut your precats for a solid torque/hp gain. You'll gain more than any off the shelf tune. Or go with 2.5" downpipes. Based on your warranty concerns I reckon you won't be a fan of the 2.5" idea, so gut the precats on your stock downpipes and you'll be happy.
then get a 2.5" catback with X-pipe.
THEN get JHM's tune, which needs upgraded exhaust in the first place.
