Wheel Alignment?

Anyone able to suggest a place in Calgary for a wheel Alignment? JUST got my car and the steering wheel has a slight cant to the right. Just does not look for feel right!? I am looking for a proper job done at a reasonable price. Is dealership safest? OR wiser to utilize the other German car shops around the city?

Turns out its a bent control arm or spindle!

Where do I take it in Calgary? Dealership? Tune Dub? Mid-Town Services?

Possibly covered under warranty? Vehicle only has 39,000KM on it!

Do dealerships only cover things under warranty? (car is from the states)

George at TuneDub would be my choice. I don't know if the warranty from the states is valid in Canada, I'm actually pretty sure it isn't.

WELL! I took it to Kal Tire for them to have a look at it.

Turns out its a bent control arm or spindle!

Funny thing is; them hoisting it up and checking it has seem to fix it! LMAO The steering wheel holds straight with no more cant to the right. Don't get me wrong I am still going to have someone fix the problem but definitely weird.

I am taking it to the dealership in Royal Oak Audi. From my research I strongly believe warranty from the US carry's up to Canada. I am taking it to the dealership in HOPES that it will be covered by warranty! Less than 40k and already a bent control arm or spindle!? Just does not sound right to me.

What makes you say that it's a bent control arm or spindle? Jacking up a car is not going to bend it back into spec. I think it's likely that you have something else going on here. Check alignment, wheels/tires, ball joints, bushings, control arms, etc.

I took it to Royal Oak Audi on Wednesday. I did my 40,000KM maintenance along with having them check things out with the issues happening on my steering wheel.

Turns out all it needed was a wheel alignment!!! This tells me Kal Tire had no clue how to properly align an Audi. Control Arm and Spindle checked out OK.

My handling is back! handles like a dream now! Pretty excited about it.

i also had a great experience @ Alvin Automotive, plus they are equipped to handle any type of aftermarket rim without rashing it (as can happen at Kal Tire)
