K, Now I have spent Dayssssss trying to Find something with some actual Answers About Removing the Cat or Completely Clearing it out. Is the car going to Run Lean and Cause some Problems? I have '96 a4 2.8 that had both cats plugged. fuel economy was horrible [150 km's on a tank, horrible] Parked it for the winter last year, and when i first brought it out it ran like crap until i drove it hard and burned out the cats. now i get lots of power and 400-500 km's per tank in the city. huge improvement. people told me to go the local muffler shop and have a universal cat put in, but i don't think that i need to now. only downside is a little noisier acceleration.

Uhhm ... the other downside is its bad for the environment ! Do our planet a favour and get a high flow cat. I had an MTM DP/relocated HFC with Milltek exhaust (B6 A4) and the sound was awesome but unburnt stinky gas was not present
