Default B6 Test pipe?

So i have to take my turbo out to rebuild it and I was thinking if I'm in there I might want to put in a test pipe. Does anyone have one on there car and if so where did you get it within the gta and how much did you pay?

Thanks,

Robbie, are you going to rebuild the turbo or take advantage at this point to upgrade the turbo?

I'm just rebuilding the k03. I don't have the funds to do all the upgrades if I replace the turbo so that will be next year. That is why i'm looking for a testpipe to put in there for now

Cheers,

You do know that they are illigal here right? the difference between test pipe and high flow cat is like .5 HP, its almost the same. Cat will get clogged over the years and will decrease efficiency but test pipe will make your exhaust funny colored and smell like utter garbage. Plus you will get tickets, its not had to smell it, as soon as you will have a cop behind you, right there you get pulled over. Im not even kidding you.

Do you have a chipped ECU? you will get a code with test pipe for your catalyst not working properly. I have high flow cats on my 2.7T and still get codes periodically. I do not know where to find a test pipe but if the ECU is setup for it a test pipe should work, the overall power gains from just a test pipe would be minimal though.

You can't run a testpipe on OEM software or you WILL get errors.

You can buy a new turbo at CTS Turbo for $659.00, which IMO is super cheap. If not get a used K03 from Audizine for $100.00

I would recommend buying the K04-015. It will run fine on the factory software then when you have time and extra money get TT225 injectors used form Audizine forums and a K04 software package.

The power isn't that much better than the K03, but they are identical size and for the price difference between the 2 its worth it if your stock turbo is gone.
