Hi Guys

First post here

i got a problem with esp & brake light constantly on and coil light flashing
i own a audi a4 130bhp tdi sport 2002
was going to buy a vagcom and try to diagnose the problem myself so the garage cant rip me of

they easy to use?
wherer do you connect it to?
is the car safe to drive till the problems get sorted?

Real vag com cable and software can get pretty expensive. You could buy a cable off eBay and download rosstech software there is a DIY sumwere on here try a search

The ESP and Brake light (or ABS light) together, always on might be faulty brake light switch. Check to see if your brake lights work when you depress the pedal. If the brake lights do work, then might be a ABS wheel sensor.
