Default Recommend Import Auto Broker?

Hi guys,

I'm looking to import a MkII TTS from the States, but I'm wary of choosing the wrong broker. Could anyone recommend one to me, I'm from Vancouver so one that operates here would be preferable! Thank you!

If this isn't too late, do your own importing. Follow the steps on the government site, make sure you do everything correctly and you will be no longer than 1 hour at the border. Only one catch is that the US side needs 24 hours notice before you arrive to clear the car.

Actually its 72 hours, I imported two vehicles already and there are threads on here on how to do it as well. It is a very simple process even though it might seem complicated. I spent about 20 minutes at the boarder.

I used a T.O. broker when I imported my B7 S4 (fall of 2007 - didnt have the know how or time at that point). He charges $1,000. - happy to pass on his name if you'd like.

I can recommend couple of options. There is guy in Vancouver that is quite knowledgeable about audi's and regularly imports them. He will search for vehicle for small fee. I ended up doing it myself but he did find couple of vehicles for me to consider (he will look after import and shipping if you want), but did use customs broker since the car was shipped via transport truck. Following are both contacts:
Ivo Senovsky
LuxuryImports.info or email ivosen@gmail.com
604-998-8867 Office

or for customs broker
Heidi Possler [heidi@peninsulacustoms.com]
Heidi Possler
PENINSULA CUSTOM BROKERS LIMITED
90 ARCHANGE STREET
FORT ERIE, ONTARIO, L2A 3L1
PHONE 905-871-5922 FAX 905-871-1444

they charged 175$ and coordinated with trucking company so I didn't have to make arrangements at the border

hope this helps

spoke to Ivo when I was shopping for my A4 Avant. he had same car available in Vanc. ended up buying the one in Calgary - lower km's and price. then spoke with him again when I was shopping for S4. He located number of cars for me in US and I was negotiating on one of them when I found the car I bought in Illinois. So ended up just doing it myself and using brokerage. That was handy and they were recommended by trucking company. They handled all the paperwork for small fee to expedite trucking across the border. If you contact them they can give you all the details. Ivo was going to arrange either to do the whole thing, or I could truck to Montana and go pick it up and bring it across the border.

It's not really a big deal to do yourself.

Hey guys, sorry quick question for all of you. I looked at RIV and you can import a mk2 TT but was wondering if anyone knew what kinds of mods need to be done to the car to make it legal in canada? or if you know of a thread that describes whats needed. I've been looking and there's plenty of posts for the mk1 but i can't find much on the mk2. For the mk1 you needed to change bumpers and so on. Any help? Thanks in advance!
