Thanks, Alex. I certainly will!

I can't wait for the snow to go so I can get them back on.

I'm sorry an SUV with lowering springs = 1980's station wagon in my opinion. I really want to like it, but it looks too tame. Might as well be an A3 or A4 Avant, just sharing my thoughts.

Ditto.
I don't see a point of buying an SUV and then lowering it??
My personal opinion anyway...

Hi there Tony,
Would love to see a pic of your Qy with the 20's on whilst lowered.... Am thinkning about dropping mine as well...

Any comments - good/bad otherwise, to report on the H&R springs now they have settled in? I'm particularly interested in whether or not the new springs reduce body roll and or lurching from start or heavy stopping... (Yeah, not what it's made for but i enjoy having a thrash around in my Q5...)

I'm from Australia so am not sure of the timing of when you change from snow to summer tyres so appreciate you might still be a little bit away from going back to the big boots...

Chicken.

Thanks Chicken! Your 2.0T is looking pretty sweet over the in Sunny Queensland!

Because the S Line Q5 was equipped with summer tires rather than all seasons, my winter tires go on as soon as it's cold enough. It's usually at the beginning of November. This year I took them off mid-April, but I've been burned before by heavy snowfalls in late April. (We had snow the first week of May this year, but nothing accumulated.) If I had all season tires on my summer wheels, I'd likely stretch the summer season a little longer.

I'll put up a new post with some summer pics.

Shesh Tony, look at you go... Nice work knowing my state in Oz.... And your right Sunny Queensland... In what we like to call Brisvegas....

Not so sunny here for us at the moment though, we are in the middle of winter with a chilly 21 degress C... Not really comparable to the snowy winters you guys have but all the same we complain about what we consider to be cold...

I posted a couple of pics and comments under a new thread: http://www.audiforum.ca/q5-q7/56749-summer-q5-mode.html

Since you mentioned "throwing your Q5 around" a few times I am pretty sure you would like the sportier feel of the H&R springs. There's definitely less body roll and it holds corers much better. In my opinion it's not a harsh ride at all. It's a more positive ride in that you feel more of the road.

I've been up to QLD a couple of times. Brisbane twice and through Surfer's once. Loved the drive up the coast from the Sydney area.

Yeah, we have a terrible spot here in the summer, all sun and beaches, glad you got a chance to enjoy it...
