Default Electronic Stabilization Program on A6 2002

Guys,

I had the Electronic Stabilization Program light on last night ( the round arrow with attention mark in it). I don't know why. the ABS, brake are NOT on just the Electronic Stabilization Program light. any ideas?

Thanks

Do you notice any change on how you car is driving? Does not accelerate as fast, feels sluggish? Just seeing if the 'limp mode' is engaged.

You know what, I took the car to Audi dealer to scan i as I had the engine light on. MIL. There was nothing wrong just old codes was jammed in the brain. The mechanic told me it would have cleared itself by itself after 40 cycle (on and off) but I did not know that. Also I had the airflow connection loose and that what cause the ESP light to come on. but now it's good to go.

I sure did have lose in engine power when I had the ESP light on.
Thank you for everything.

Well thats good news, hope it did not cost you a lot. I had the same thing happened, had a buddy scan it and indicated a malfunctioning brake light switch. I could have figured it out if I just paid attention if my brake lights turned on when I depressed the pedal. It was jammed, tapped it, and it is working excellent.
