hi guys, i have already do my best to get more gas mileage, on my computer screen said 15.5l /100km on city, just wondering is it normal? I have already change the air filter, easy on the gas, oil change...
My 4.2 gets about 12L/100Km. computer says 12.6. This is mixed city and highway - also mixed hammering it and driving normal. Wifes 2.8 passat get 10L / 100Km eveytime. She never goes on highway.

Is this city mileage?
In the city my 2.8 is running 13 - 14L/100km. On this weekends trip to blue mountain I worked it out to about 10L/100km with some spirited driving included.
Try calculating your own mileage and not using the computer for one tank, see how they match up based on your driving habits too.
My B7 S4 gets me on avg 15-16 L/100K. Durring the last couple of snow storm I got 17.5L/100K. I guess all those times the wheels spinning while I was having fun in the snow does come with a gas penalty. I still think it's worth it though.

my driving habit is pretty good, always gear change in 2200 rpm.
We get 13.6 L/100km with 90% city driving. My wife has been driving it mostly. She is pretty heavy footed and does not use tiptronic. We use synthetic and mid grade gas.
There is a little trick to gas mileage. First check your tire pressure. Next add 5ml of acetone per tank of gas. Acetone makes the gas evaporate faster and the gas does not stick to the cylinder walls.. You should save 10%.
