Yes you can, change the Country coding to USA and they will stay off until you turn them on manually. But this will get you pulled over and you might get a ticket. Canadian law states that we have to have DRL (daytime runing lights) on any car built after 1998??? Not sure if that is the exact year but around there somewhere

If you want to sit in the car and listen to the radio, do you have to turn the ignition switch to the point your DRLs come on?

Listeningn to music isnt the problem, the radio turns on but the heat and such doesnt when the car is off.

you dont even have to have the key in the ignition to turn the radio on! It stays on for an hour and automatically shuts off

I cant seem to get the throttle trick going, i tried calibrating it with the pedal half way just to see if it responded any different, and it didnt do anything. am i supposed to turn the key to the start position and not press the clutch>? is this only for tip cars?

it isnt for tip cars only! Do not press the clutch, but turn the key to the start position where it is only illuminating the dash,(before the starter turns) and then follow the procedure but make sure that you push the gas peddle all the way down as in our cars there is an extra inch of gas when after you assume it is pusshed in all the way
