Everything is normal when it comes to installing as in u'll need a harness and an adapter to make it fit. I found a really good one that fits like a glove! The only tricky part is wiring up the 12v source. I posted the entire install somewhere on this forum and if u cant find it i'll find it for u. Oh and i didn't have to do any of the spacing like he did. If u really want me too i can find out what brand of adapter kit i got. But if u dont have any hands on skills and have never installed a deck, i highly recommend getting it installed by pros. This was by far the hardest install for me and i have done lots on all kinds of cars.
Thanks for the info, but im just gonna pay "Geek Squad from best buy" a 150 bucks to put it in ( they have a warrenty against screwups with the install
Although this unit seems to have a lot more features and does look as close to stock as any aftermarket I've seen to date, I've been quite happy with the Audi Navigation Plus/MMI RNS-E since I put it in. The installation was so easy for me and I had never changed out a radio. I was actualy quite surprised at how easy it was.
Not having iPhone or aux input it a frustrating missing feature, but everything else works so seamlessly and integrates flawlessly with the rest of the car.
Props to you for such a clean looking installation. Best aftermarket unit and install I've ever seen in an Audi.
Any idea where or which wire is the accessory wire on a 05 a4 non bose? i put a pioneer 7" touch dvd but it wont turn off when when i take my key out or open my door. i have to pull the radio 30amp fuse out to turn it off?
