2005 A8 Towing Capacity

Im looking at purchasing a 2005 A8. My only problem is i need to be able to tow my boat. The boat weights in at nearly 5000lbs. The trailer has 3 axles and is well balanced. I cant seem to find any clear answers to what the vehicle can handle. It would only be for short distances. Any help in clarifying would be greatly appreciated. I am sick of driving trucks.

I honestly don't think you can tow a 5000lb boat plus a trailer with an A8. Not legally at least.

The towing capacity of the Q7 is 5500lbs.

Usually wherever I look the towing capacity is unlisted. Maybe someone with an A8 and a manual can help you out or try emailing Audi directly?

Off hand i'd say that its not looking good for a high towing capacity or really much towing of any kind....
The Q7 as said above is a different story though and would be especially awesome if the rumored W12 was stuffed in there haha

wel lif you go on by manuals then the towing capacity of the 2005 A8 is around lbs. which is sufficient to tow your boat
