Weathertech Liners

Re: Weathertech Liners
Great info, I ordered a set of front and rears and the cargo liner from weather tech yesterday, Mike from weathertech called saying that they will not work in SQ5. I said ok and will wait for the refund. The part numbers I had were 40401 for the liner and 44230-1-2 for the mats . I did already purchase the liner from the dealer but if the mats do fit properly then I may order from weathertech. Any advice or suggestion?

Re: Weathertech Liners
I ordered through the Weathertech Canada website and specified Audi Q5 2014 (no SQ5 option). Part # on the PO was 44230-1-2 for the "FloorLiner DigitalFit 1st & 2nd row". They fit fine (see previous pictures). IMO the fit is what it is meant to be.
Of course they could always be better. Main issue at this time is with the rears. Went for a road trip with the kids last night. The youngest doesn't touch the floor so no issues, but the older manages to go beyond the side and front edges of the mat with boots / no effort, they're just kids... I find Weathertech superior to Audi on sides of rear mat, Audi superior towards the front of the rear mat; there are 2 ledges on each forward side of the rear that Weathertech protects much better than Audi, but still not completely. Overall, Weathertech is a big upgrade but if someone comes out with a better rear fit I'll switch.

Re: Weathertech Liners
Thanks for the clarification Dexter, I think I will go ahead and order the fronts. I have a 15 year old daughter that is rarely in the back seat anyhow. When I showed my wife the audi winter floor mat on the drivers side, she says " but it doesn't cover the carpet" I said yeah, California winters I guess. I will call Mike at weathertech and reorder!
Thanks again

Re: Weathertech Liners
I am also looking for the Cargo Mat, What I have understood from this thread is to buy Audi Cargo Mat and not Weathertech, right? Dealer charging 151+tax Weathertech 153+tax
I am also looking for mud flaps. The dealer is charging 247+ tax + 192 installation. Is there a better option?

Re: Weathertech Liners
Good stuff. I had the liner thrown in by the dealer. Its the model with the lower edges, not the one that rides a few inches high on the sides. I'm really happy about it though, as typical daily use (Costco, Home Depot, kids...) leaves a lot of gunk on it that would otherwise show up on the trunk carpet. Looking forward to your assessment.

Re: Weathertech Liners
There is a small issue with the Weathertec liners in a Q5. As water accumulates in the mats, it eventually fills the grooves and puddles in the middle. No problem until you park your Q5 on an uphill driveway. Then the water runs to the back, overflows the snap-in plugs, and drains into the carpet beneath leading to a soaked carpet with moisture trapped under the mat.
The solution is to use an old towel to blot up the water before it gets very deep, or avoid parking in my uphill driveway.
