Default SQ5 stitching gauge cluster

The SQ5 I test drove at the end of November had a stitched dash on the upper driver side. However, I was passing by the Audi dealer today and decided to stop by to see if they still had the one I test drove, without luck! But they had received new ones but none of them had the stictching on the upper of the dash ( driver side). Did Audi decided to modify this feature or is it only for Canada? This was another cool feature that differentiated SQ5 from other Q5.... Is anybody have a word on that? Michel

Hi Michel I've had mine since early September. No stitching on my dash. I have the Technik model with Lunar Silver/Black/Atlas Carbon interior. There is silver stitching on black leather of seats, doors, steering wheel and stick shift, but nothing on the dash... Hope this helps.

Well that's even more strange! Than, I don't know how my dealer got their first batch of SQ5 with the stitching on that gauge cluster and their second batch without. Where they a batch of Exclusive SQ5... who knows

No stitching on my dash either. Technik, Beaufort black wood/ aluminum with magma red seats. Every option except the 21"s and rear DVDs

BMW did something like this when they first launched the 1 series, they had a bunch of unique touches like engraving around the start button:

Maybe people who pre-ordered the first SQ5's all got some unique touches to celebrate the launch of the vehicle?

Mine is dated: MFD. BY AUDI AG 07 13, would have to be earlier than that?
European model SQ5 is already in its 2nd year, has a few differences including 1" lower suspension vs. North America, and has a "limited edition" concept car (see Audi SQ5 TDI Exclusive Concept will have limited 50-unit run) if you're willing to poney up an extra 54K. If you look at the 6th picture from the link there is a nice contrasting stitch at the edge of the upper dash on the driver's side... this isn't present on mine... Perhaps you test drove an exclusive model from across the pond?

Dex, thanks for the link. I test drove that SQ5 on November 26th... Anyways, even though I would have liked this feature, I did not order this vehicle for the double stitching....

With the exception of the A8 and R8 to the best of my knowledge I don't know of any Audi cards with dash stitching.
