Adrena,

Yes, you will lose a bit. Since copyprotected iTunes music is 128kbps, it's not fantastic. One should encode at a minimum of 172kbps to be somewhat comparable to CD quality anyway.

I found using SD card the best way to transfer music althout I used Windows Media Player.
I have music on 2 SD cards (4Gig cards) and just leave them in the slots. You can always import them to your jukebox but I find that by using just the SD cards you can, rearrange, delete, add much easier sitting in the comfort of your home computer if you know what I mean, instead of sitting in the car.

For xmas I just plugged another 2 gig SD card (quite cheap) with Xmas music.

Have fun

I do the same as Danluc. Single 32Gb card and I just leave it in the player. I build playlists in iTunes, export them and then use Media Monkey to build folders with the MP3 converted to play in my car. Since you can put each playlist in a separate folder, you can hold a huge amount of music on one card and play it directly from the card without any need to transfer it to the hard drive.

Has anyone tried loading tons of songs on a DVD and then hitting the WMP shuffle before burning your DVD....this gives you all your music with a shuffle, instead of listening 30 mins of Elvis, 30 mins of Willie Nelson etc

I tried it, but when I but my DVD in the MMI slot it never finishes loading...maybe I didn't wait long enough....will retry again this week while on a trip.

Will let you guys know if it works...can probably be done on a SD card instead of using Folders.

Hi there. It is not really complicated. Just load MP3 formats then, after inserting the SD, follow the instructions to load. Source, then pick SD, then you have a choice to play or load ect..... It should be easy

For people having problems playing there Itunes music.. Use Nero Wav Editor.. Simply drag & Drop the file, save as, and use a converter or save as MP3 and there you have it : A song thats copyright free..

Well I tried it...put my DVD loaded with music into the mmi slot and it just never stopped loading,,,so it doesn't work. Will have to prepare a suffled playlist and transfer to a SD card to get some variety.

can I save a movie onto the SD to play as well? Will the monitor play it if it's a DVD capable monitor? We just ordered the 2012 Q5 and I made sure that it played DVD's...
