S-Line Grille option for the Q5
I've seen a lot of people asking about the S-Line Grille, I too love the look of it versus the standard grille on the Q5. I wanted the S-Line, but didn't want to be locked into the Black interior. I called the dealership the other day and asked if the grilles were interchangable...yup, same bolt pattern and size/shape. So for $595CAD I am having the dealership install it for me when I collect my vehicle in June 2010...yeah, I have to wait patiently too! lol.

They sell aluminum trims for the Q5 grill on ebay for 30 dollars. You install it looks identical to the Sline Grill. I am doing it next week will post pictures.

True - when I ordered my Q i had no intentions of getting winter tires. With Sline you're forced to. So i figured, let me know save the 2500 on the Sline package and spend 1K upgrade to 19". So I did that. I ended up getting winter tires. But 500 to get the Sline package plus 1K to upgrade to 19" that's only 1K away from the entire Sline package.
Another thing is that with the bigger gap in the grill, more stuff gets into your radiator which isn't that big of a deal but....
I am sure it looks awesome. I think Audi needs to really change their S line package it sucks. No sports seats, no sports suspension just grills and S line stickers. I am not sure about their other cars talking just about the Q5.

I have extra chrome tubing that fits the Q5 if you need any. Let me know.

Awesome - I didn't know Sline was only on black interior (you sure on this one?).
This is what I got:
2010 Black on Cinnamon Brown
Navi, B&O,19", Technology
I ended up spending about 1800 on 18" winters, not bad looking I have some pics of the rims on this post:

I was really debating about the drive select thing. I didn't really do that much research on it so I didn't get it oh well next Audi.
Where can the extra Chrome that you have be used? (Thanks for the offer BTW).

Photos look nice!!! Did the ski bars (roof bars) come standard? I haven't read anywhere to confirm.
I have some chrome that will fit the grille, and some thicker stuff that will fit the tailgate.

Re: S-Line Grille option for the Q5
Wow I had no idea about the black interior and Sline. I guess my sales person had no idea. I definatly don't like black interior. I am very happy about the brown choice.
The cross bar is standard your should have came with one. The Thule rack I bought from Sporting Life.
I should be getting my grill chromes from ebay shortly this week.
I'd love to grab (pay of course) for some of your spare chrome and use it on the tailgate.
I've been looking for Chrome put around the mirror and on the door handles but no luck yet.

You can have all the chrome free if you pick it up, I bought it originally to do the same thing as you until I found the grilles were interchangeable lol.

Re: S-Line Grille option for the Q5
I agree 100%. I researched the Q5 for about 6 months online, watched every video read every review. I did the same with all it's competitions really spent the time. When I went to drive it I knew the car inside and out.
Message me about the Chrome and we'll meet up. Thanks again much appreciate the offer.
