Questions about ordering a Q7 TDI

Questions about ordering a Q7 TDI
A friend of mine is contemplating buying a relatively loaded Q7 TDI and we have a few questions.
1. What kind of discount from MSRP can one expect on an ordered Q7?
2. Any idea how long from order to delivery would be?
3. If an Audi dealer elsewhere in Canada has a Q7 that matches his specifications, how difficult would it be to acquire through the local dealer?
4. When does production of the 2012 model begin, and are there any known changes?
TIA.

Re: Questions about ordering a Q7 TDI
Discounts vary from dealer to dealer, so its very difficult to comment. I am not familiar with your dealer.
From order to delivery it is normally 90 days wait max, give or take a few days.
Dealer trades are very common, but you have to factor in transport costs if it is you that wants the truck. You cannot reasonably expect the same incentive from a Dealer 1 if they have to foot the Bill to get a vehicle to you that is 500 or 1000 kms away at Dealer 2. Usually Dealer 1 also returns another vehicle in exchange, as long as it has one to return that Dealer 2 wants, which is another hurdle.
Production of 2012 Q7's is likely to begin late May or early June. Deliveries to clientele begin July, from what I know.
Standard trim is gone. Premium and Premium Plus are the options. No prices available yet but if you PM me I will email the Order Guide to you so you can at least see the changes in packages.
Hope the info helps.
