Hi Trisha,
Welcome to the forum. It's really difficult to comment on whether you were ripped off or not, not knowing the price you paid and the configuration you've ordered.
For Premium Q5, black, with panoramic sunroof, bi-xenon headlights and audi music interface I paid $52K. (this includes $1K discount I was able to negotiate). I needed the car badly at the time of the purchase, so I didn't feel like going away and coming back asking for a bigger discount. I know some people visit dealerships dozens of times before committing to a purchase.
Don't beat yourself up about the price, you've got a great vehicle and you'll enjoy it once it arrives, you'll forget how much you paid within a couple of months! Some purchase prices referenced in this forum include employee discount, some people are very good at haggling, it's easier to negotiate a deal if you're ordering a lot of options. In the end it's very difficult to compare your own deal to somebody else's, you're situation is unique.
Good luck with your new purchase!

thank you for your quick reply Jupi....I ordered the Premium Plus Q5 2.0 with nav., pan sunroof, wood tone trim, and B&O sound for $52,631.00 before taxes. I asked for Audi Care but they were only willing to give me half off of that. They did throw in car mats but not the rear one. They said I saved $1,676.

Others on this forum have said they saved thousands in Mississauga and Toronto...they said they paid $62K (that's with taxes in and all those other fees) but it included the S Line package. I paid $62K as well but did not get the S Line package, so that's why I feel ripped off 3K.

What do you think? I may cancel my contract tomorrow and go elsewhere (as one has 15 days to cancel any contract in Ontario).

Your input is so deeply appreciated.

All the best

T

That was gently put Jupi.
@Trisha: Had you known every detail of this forum before signing the bill of sale, it's not certain that things would have gone differently. Having said that, there's usually a week or so before the order is put through. The dealership gives time incase you want to modify your order. Consider asking for things to be thrown in (Audicare $750, and/or front/back mats @$150, and/or cargo liner @$150), and/or getting additional options for a discount (e.g. NAV for $1000). This way you know that you've gone down fighting...and hey, either way the reward is a Q5, and that's not too bad.

Hi Trisha,

You can certainly cancel your contract and go to the other place. Benefits of doing so are quite a few:
1. You know exactly what you want in your new vehicle.
2. You've got the experience of going through the process and know how much you can ask for what options/extras (this way you'll consider the total price before starting to negotiate)
3. You can actually shop around before canceling your order, this way you'll see how much less you would pay at the other place.
4. If you want the S-Line, then that's another reason to re-negotiate (the discount will be bigger). Consider going to the dealership to cancel the deal (make sure they feel you are serious), but then let them convince you otherwise by offering a deeper discount . Be frank with them, they want your business.

All this is good if you have the time (precious commodity) to go visit dealerships around the GTA and go through the negotiation again.
Also, consider when would be the delivery date at these dealerships, if you getting the car at the Hamilton dealership much earlier than at any other, then consider how much that's worth for you.

Good luck and let us know how everything goes.

Hi trisha,
your order has colour charge or no? MSRP on your configuration at my store without colour charge seems to be $62238.37 after tax. Add colour charge and this jumps to $63085.87 after tax.

From what I can see the savings estimate you were provided with is not accurate.

Good luck,
let me know if I can help.

Paul
