Dealer allocations are related to dealer locations one-to-one, so that's exactly what I meant. When I called around beginning of October, I got delivery dates anywhere from mid-December to late February. I went with Hamilton dealer because they had pre-allocated Q5s for them my car was delivered by 17th of December - that's 2.5 months of waiting. I know a lot of folks on this forum waited for much longer than that. I agree, the sooner you gonna get your car, the less likely you getting a good deal.

Some charges (especially government fees) are mandatory, dealer must show on the Bill of Sale. The are as follow:
OMVIC FEE (Ontario Motor Vehicle Industry Council): $5
Ontario Stewardship (Provincial): $29.20
Air Tax (Federal): $100
Licensing (Plate Transfer): $10, not set by dealer, it is a Licensing Office Charge

Optional:
Administration Fees are set by individual dealerships and can range from, from what I have seen, $250 to $350.

Full tank of Fuel? Some dealers include this in Admin Fee and do not charge extra.
Globali antitheft product is optional and dealer markup varies. It may be a good idea if your insurance company gives you a discount for having it.
Some dealers also charge Nitrogen in Tires, markup also varies.

I think I got them all.

Globali is not installed at the factory and is not necessary by law nor by OMVIC, feel free to call OMVIC at 416-226-4500 to confirm. A dealer will not lose a deal over this charge.

OK, shake it off jupi, because you're off on that one. But if you want to feel validated - then keep believing that you're right. Makes no difference.

I tried to scrap Globali charge. Then dealer explained to me that this is for your protection. If you car happens to be stolen, then will get something like 3-5K towards your next purchase from Globali. Your vehicle gets registered with them.

No argument that there are benefits to having Globali product, you don't have to sell it to me and if you noticed my post I mentioned another benefit. Still doesn't make it mandatory.

For price negotiations with the dealer consider asking the dealer to take off those mandatory fees/charges off of the price of the vehicle. I didn't have the insight of these extra charges and would have been more aggressive with negotiations had I known. Carcostcanada only outlined freight and admin fee. HST in addition to these extra costs was about $10K. But come on, it's worth it! If you're really nickel and diming, consider getting a Ford Escape.
The nitrogen in the tires was called "tire guard" that was $0.
