Ordered New Q5 Today

Re: Ordered New Q5 Today
MY2011, adaptive headlight is Special Order Option only, for 300$. It's not included in any package, no matter which model. It needs to be ordered completely separate. It's been discussed already in different threads.

Re: Ordered New Q5 Today
Tomashek, you are correect. The manual of my MY 2011 Q5 3.2Prem has two warning lights, one is for the Headlight Range Control is defective (auto levels the lights based upon vehicle load / towing) and the Adaptive Light is defective. I ordered the Adaptive Lights as a $300 option.

Re: Ordered New Q5 Today
I forgot to mention that for MY 2011 the DRLs no longer wink with the turn signals. I'm not sure if this is something my dealer did or it is a factory change.

Re: Ordered New Q5 Today
That's a very good change! I hope my 2011 2.0 Premium Plus will have it too. It's one thing that I would change via VagCom, now if that's true all accross MY2011 - I'll save some bux and won't have to buy it!

Re: Ordered New Q5 Today
There is a million other things you can change with vag-com, the blinking signal is just one minor change, you should still own a cable. Audi probably made this change due to everyone complaining about it. It's just a check mark you have to add .

Re: Ordered New Q5 Today
Automatic headlight-range adjustment
The Audi site shows it as "standard" on the Premium Plus, but not on the other 3 models.- Utilizing input from the steering and speed of the vehicle, adaptive headlights pivot up to 15 degrees to allow the driver to see ahead in the dark by lighting up corners and bends more effectively.
As I don't have my MY2011 Q5 2.0T Premium Plus (yet) I can't verify that you are right and the Audi.ca website is incorrect.

Re: Ordered New Q5 Today
I have the same understanding. on ALL 2011 2.0T models it's option. ONLY included in 3.2 premium.
Anyways, I personally have found 2 errors on Audi.ca so for sure it's not a perfect site. $300.00 is really nothing, I don't understand why it's just not included, in the city it doesn't come in that handy but on country roads it does specially winter. I very much enjoy it.

I stand to be corrected. I guess I was misinformed when I read the following on the specifications page (under Exterior)for the MY2011 Q5 2.0T Premium Plus:

Anyway, I have ordered it, but I knew (thanks to that forum) that it's not included in any option and is on Special Order list.

And thanks to me
If you didn’t specifically ask and ordered it - then you won't have it. Your dealer should explain that to you in details.
