Oil consumption on 2.0T
Anyone here have a 2.0T engine on their Audi and experiencing excessive oil consumption?
My Audi is burning 1 liter after approx. 1800km
-I took my car in today for an oil consumption test and met 3 other Audi owners with the same issue. One had their turbo replaced after many visits.
I have to take my car in after 1000k to verify the oil level as a second phase to the test. I'm hoping to get a new engine as i am certain something is wrong within the engine and the way I see it, there should be no need to service or investigate any engine mechanical malfunctions to a brand new 2011 engine.
Anyone on this forum having the same issue?

Re: Oil consumption on 2.0T
Sorry to hear that, something must be wrong with your engine, for sure.
Mine so far is OK. I didn't have to add any oil to it so far, knock the wood. Since last oil change at 7000k, I checked and it still reads max - i have now over 10000k.
I guess I consider myself lucky in this department.....I had and still have some strange howling noise that is blamed to "characteristic of the car"....

******Update******
I now have 10700k and oil level dropped to slightly over 3/4. I have next scheduled maintenance in 12K; likely I'll have to add some.....
I checked with dealer and they said that if it indicates to add oil, then it's missing 1l.

Re: Oil consumption on 2.0T
My 2.0TFSI engine consumes about 1 liter of oil every 2500-3000km
Engine 2.0TFSI is known to spend oil and Audi has not solved the problem
Type in on Google: "2.0TFSI oil consumption" and see the result

Re: Oil consumption on 2.0T
The audi dealer I bought my Q said 1 liter every 5-6k is normal.
I now have 26k , as time passed and my km increased the intervals of topping up got shorter and shorter. Just recently about 2 weeks ago I took it in for an oil consumption test and they checked the oil level was too low from the last time it was serviced. They then asked I return after I complete 1200km.
If problem still continues they will have to replace the engine.

Re: Oil consumption on 2.0T
I also drive the 2011 2.0T
I had my first oil change during the 8,000KM maintenance and the gauge was above half at that time. Since then, I now reached 15,000KM and my gauge is at 10-15%... Going to have to drop by Audi...
Rocco, did Audi find anything new with your oil consumption problem?

Re: Oil consumption on 2.0T
Oil consumption tests all failed -my Q is currently at Audi for further investigation.
They said it would take about 2 weeks to find and fix the problem. I'll keep you posted when I get my Q back..
