Been reading on this forum for weeks and finally ordered our 2011 Q5 3.2 last week....with most packages selected.

wife is really disappointed that there seems to be no thermal cup holders...is this true? how come we saw other Q5s have them? Can we push the dealer to put them on?

All kidding aside, I was pretty choked when I learned that mine and all of the Canadian Q5's weren't going to be equipped with the heated/cooled cup holders. I thought it was a very cool feature and was really looking forward to it when I originally ordered mine. I even went to the extent of tracking down all of the parts I would need to retrofit it when I found out. Then I realized I really wouldn't use it that often. I use a steel thermal mug for hot drinks and prefer water at room temperature. I suppose it would be nice for the rare occasion of buying a coffee in a paper cup or chilling a canned drink, but it's certainly not making love my Q5 any less.
