Negotiating new Q7

Re: Negotiating new Q7
I am in the exact same situation. I've actually come to the stage in my life where the anticipation of receiving my new car is half the fun. I'm sure you will really love your Q7. Compared to the ride and handling of a Sequoia, you'll feel like you're behind the wheel of a Lambo.

Re: Negotiating new Q7
When is your ETA?
As for the Sequoia, the Plat is pretty hard to beat. 3 suspension modes (of course, nothing as involved as the audi suspension) make for a very nice ride and the power is incredible. Does 0-60 in less than 6 seconds, has all the bells and whistles the Q7 has but is as thirsty as a sailor on shore leave
I'll keep it till it dies

I think you'll notice a lot of difference in ride and handling going from a truck-based platform to a car-based one. It really is like driving a heavier, higher A6. Our first trip to Vancouver back in '09 really impressed me. I'm sure you'll feel the same. I doubt you'll be getting sub-6 second jaunts to 60, but I was impressed by the responsiveness of the 3.0T in the Technik.

Re: Negotiating new Q7
I hear you about the mid-winter delivery. What I wanted wasn't available either (especially the air suspension-and the model I test drove had those nice 360 cameras) and given that I'll keep the vehicle for at least 5 years and given the long trips, I wanted the air suspension. Another reason is that my driveway is 400 feet and the gentleman that clears it is not always there when I need him, so I need the clearance the AS provides.

Re: Negotiating new Q7
I can only hope
The dealer needs to enroll you, at least that's what happened with me. Then you are sent an email and you log in to myauditracker.com.
Subsequently, there are different stages that are completed" From painting, to assembly to shipping, each with its own promotional video of what goes on in every step. Very cool. Keeps the anticipation level high.
I don't think I'll get her before Christmas, but there is always hope
