Leasing a Q5

Leasing a Q5
Hi, I'm new to this forum and also it's my first time purchasing a car in Canada. I'm considering leasing a brand new Q5. I would like to know how long do you have to wait to receive the car after placing an order at a local official dealership? (I am in Toronto) And which model is more suitable to drive in Toronto? 2.0 or 3.0?
The reason I do not contact a dealer directly is that I don't want them to bug me as I have not really made up my mind yet.
Thanks in advance.

Re: Leasing a Q5
Hi Paul. You will find the Audi sales staff is not like your traditional "vulture-style" creepy salesman. Wait time will depend if they have the car you want in stock or if you want to place an order. I have a pretty good feeling that they will have a suitable Q5 in stock, or from another dealership. If not, I would say a 1 to 3-month wait would be probable. As for the 2.0 vs. 3.0 decision, it comes down to what you want most. I find the 2.0T a lively engine that winds up really quick, but the 3.0T is no slouch either. Do yourself a favor and head down to your local dealer and get behind the wheel of both.

Re: Leasing a Q5
Hi Paul,
I ordered my Q5 TDI on February 1st from Downtown Audi. I saw later that the order was put into the system on February 10th. It arrived in Halifax on the ship Grand Pioneer on April 21st. It's scheduled to be released to travel to Toronto on April 28th with an arrival at the dealer on May 12th. My sales rep said I should get it sooner and they may push to get it to me by the end of April, so they can record the sale in April instead of May. So from February 1st to May 12th is 100 days or almost 3.5 months, which is what they told me when I ordered it.
Good luck with your search! I can't wait to get my new TDI after driving full size pick up trucks for the past 15+ years!
