Default Learned something new!

On a recent vacation drive I noticed that when climbing a steep incline and coming to a full stop (where I come from the roads are flat for miles) if one has your foot on the brake the brakes hold for a few seconds upon release and the Q5 will not roll backwards giving one time to accelerate forward. I could see this as handy in an urban setting (not rolling backwards into the folks behind you) and if the Q5 ever came with a manual transmission.

Yes sir, it's a feature. Got to love it. It has to be fairly steep incline though. I've tested this in my underground incline it's about 35 degrees and doesn't work.

Manual box and a turbo... 2nd to 3rd gear would be so much fun!

Off topic but "S Tronic/DSG" transmission flightmedic? How did you swing that? I thought that was only an option on European Q5's.
