Re: Just picked up my Garnet Red Q5...
Just added a BSH Stage 1 air intake to the GTI...loving the GTI a lot now...
However, there isn't 1 thing I'd change with the Q5...so that says something.

Not sure what engine you have but i have flashed my 2.0 TFSi with the APR stage 1 software, loving it even more now...
Will be interesting to see the take up in Canada when the 2.0 Petrol is released...
Would love to get a air intake if it was available, but alas nothing developed yet...

Re: Just picked up my Garnet Red Q5...
I have the 2.0T in my GTI, anything heavier i.e. the Q5 chassis, I think it's going to put excess wear on the engine. Other factor is Canadian weather is so extreme, hot summers and cold winters. Over a period of time, I FEEL that the engine will not outlast the 3.2 (which I thought was a little weak at the research time coming out of a 3.7).
My personal opinion, I just don't understand in North America (where the mentality is go big or go home), Audi would experiment with a 2.0 SUV...I know my Dad is still old-school where a truck or SUV should have a 5.0 or it's a golf cart. Yes I know technology has changed drastically, however I have vehicles with both engines and still stand by my point that the 2.0 is still under-powered for a vehicle of the Q5 weight and size especially considering the weather and terrain of Canada.

I only ask because the 2.0T is (and 1.8T was) used in so many VAG cars. They've survived many Canadian winters. They are more fuel efficient and less prone to carbon build up than the 3.2. In fact, in other countries, the current Q5 2.0T is less than 10% heavier than the A4 Avant 2.0T.
That being said, I love the 3.2 in my Q5 and thoroughly enjoyed it in the 08 TT that I had.

I too love the 3.2 Q5, amazing vehicle...and I love my 2.0 GTI for fun factor (it will likely be stored over winter though).
