This can't be right...
I just bought a 2010 Q5 some 3 1/2 months ago. I just love the truck, BUT the fuel consumption is just TERRIBLE. I'm at 7000 km and my average consumption is 14.6 liters /100 km.
I mostly do city driving, I say 80 % but I'm an easy driver. Is this normal?

Couple of things.........premium fuel is a must. Secondly are you looking at the right fuel consumption display for your average? Have you reset it recently to accurately reflect what your Q5 is making now with 7000 kms?

Re: This can't be right...
I have always used super unleaded in the vehicle, and yes I'm checking the right fuel consumption display (number 2). I just checked today it's at 14.7 and I only drive in D not S. I talked to the salesman already but he just gives me the run around. Going for my first oil change shortly... I'll talk to a mechanic ...
What average are folks getting around here?

I can attest to this statement, I was burning about 12.5-14 L/100 up until about 8K, once I hit 8K (now at 10K) my consumption has significantly dropped. I do about 80% city and i do once in a while floor it in S mode just to hear the engine roar

What's wrong with 14.7 l/100km ???
That's my average since i got the car (80,000km ago).
But... it's an S4 with the 4.2L... so with a smaller engine you should be doing a lot less.
