I'm looking into buying Q5 in US and I was wondering if somebody knew how to get the recalls clearance letter from Audi USA or Audi dealer ?

If somebody has done it already please share your experience .

Simply call up Audi and ask for one its that easy.

yeah I spoke to Audi on the phone and they faxed/emailed it within a day. Contact Audi USA.

I bought my Audi Q7 at Circle Audi (they were great) in Long Beach, Ca, and imported it to Canada. Walked to the service counter and had the letter in 4 minutes. This is why Audis are way easier to import than BMW's, Merc's or Acuras.

Thanks guys for all your replies. I couldn't get a quote from Audi dealers for a new Q5 but I went to the auto brokers and got my pricing from them. It's still $2000 below US MSRP.

They've priced new 2012 Q5 2.0 Premium Plus +Advanced Key+Phantom Black+Bang and Olufsen for USD $40,650( including destination charge of $850 USD!!!!!!). American Premium Plus includes panorama roof already. I have to pick it up in Denver though.Plus 6% Duty charges of $ 2,439
All together : USD 43,089 +GST

From Glenmore Audi,Calgary the similar vehicle looks like this :
Premium Plus $45,300 + Panorama $2,300 +Bang and olufsen $1,000 +Metallic paint $740 + Destination charge $1,999 =CAD $51,349 +GST . All I had from them is $1000 discount after month of negotiation.

The price difference with Canadian pricing is quite significant .

We are thinking of importing a Q5 from the States, too. What was your experience? Also, do you have a contact of your broker's name?

and haven't had much luck in finding a dealer,
