It is $750, and for a Q5 you'll be spending about $1,200 to $1,300 for those four services. It's worth it IMO.

Followup question for anyone who knows. It sounds like the Audi Care Plan is a good deal based on what you'd pay for those four services, however, is the work being done in those services worth such a high price tag? I'm no automotive expert, but most of those servicings look like oil change, tire rotation and a bunch of checks of various things. I realize the Q5 is in the luxury segment, but if I drove a GM it would cost me less than $100 for oil change, tire rotation and a seasonal inspection. Am I getting anything more from the Audi services, is the vehicle more costly to service, or am I paying a brand premium?

Thanks.

Not sure it's a good question to ask the dealer but this pays for itself pretty fast it's for sure a very very good value.

If it didn't have value they wouldn't offer it, one single oil change is over 120 dollars taxes in. They do the oil change plus bunch of other stuff.

Warcity...I agree, on the surface this looks like great value. But phrased another way, is $120 for an oil change acceptable? To play devil's advocate, I can go somewhere else for a $30 oil change, or pay Audi $120. I personally prefer to take my car to the dealership for servicing, especially under warranty, and am prepared to pay more for work they do. However, when compared to other manufacturers does $120 for an oil change and inspection seem steep to you? Again for contrast, GM will do oil changes in a comparable sized vehicle for about $50. So my questions was whether there's some additional value we're getting, additional cost associated with Audi, or is this simply paying for the Audi name. I suspect it's that latter, but would feel better if there was some component of the former involved.

Having said all that, I too plan to purchase the Audi Care package.

Steve:

I 110% agree with you, it's very steep but it's only fair to compare this cost to other German and high-end Japanese manufacturers. I know that buying a filter and synthetic oil on it's own can cost about 70 dollars (if you do the oil change yourself), of course there is also cost of labor. But I agree with you. I it will be valuable if you can to ask how much each service costs (stand alone) and share with us. It'll be good information.

Cheers.

ps. Not sure about the color of your car's interior but our cars are identical twins

I was in the dealership this week to pickup my new Q5 (love it so far, BTW). At the same time I checked on the pricing of the recommended services to compare to the Audi Care plan. Here's what I was given.

8,000 km Included
25,000 km $289.95
40,000 km $159.95
55,000 km $289.95
70,000 km $159.95

Congrats on your car.

This is great info thanks. I wasn't aware that the 8K service is free. That's really good. Looks like the care package price is a fairly decent deal specially if you're going to keep the car till 70K.

Thanks for sharing.
