Default Adaptive headlights on my Q5?

Hi all,

I was wondering how I can confirm if my Q5 has the adaptive headlights? I did ordered the adaptive headlights as a special order. I read that when you first start up the car, the headlight will calibrate itself vertically and horizontally (if you have adaptive headlights). Is this true? I don't see mine does it, so does it mean my Q5 doesn't have the adaptive headlights?

Thanks in advance!

Best thing to do is go into an underground garage where you have to turn and go around, go down slow and as you turn the steering wheel look in the reflection of your lights on the wall in front and see if one light beam moves away from the other as you're turning going down. Once you turn your wheel back to the center position see if the light beam comes back to it's original position.

With adaptive headlight, each time you turn the headlight/car on it does an auto adjustment. On the Q5 it only adjust up down. I've never seen mine adjust side-to-side but I know for a fact I have adaptive headlight (15 degrees).

I thought that they only adjusted 6 degrees, not 15. I will look that up...

Thanks warcity. Good to know that the Q5's headlights don't do the horizontal calibration. During my night driving tonight, I noticed the headlights turn but it's not very easy to see.
Thanks again.

May be more or less 6 deg to left and more or less 6 deg to right more or in total less 15 deg?
