Re: About to place an order for Q5
2010 Q5 Prem with B&O+ Navi + 19" wheels+ lava grey paint+ PDI + taxes+ tire & battery levy in for grand total of $61017 in Victoria. Only one dealer on the island and he discounted $1500 at the start. As per comments of warcity see about throwing in the audicare as did not consider this in negotiations!

Re: About to place an order for Q5
Finally placed the order for Q5 premium + tech. package. The total comes to $51 000 excluding taxes. I was going to pick the black exterior colour, but I saw an A6 with Quartz grey in the parking lot and ended up picking quartz grey over black. Now, it's just going to be 2-3 month wait.
btw, thanks for all the reply

Re: About to place an order for Q5
The demo I drove had a B&O on it and the sound quality is very very nice but I dont really listen to music that much while driving. As for the GPS, I don't think I will use it that often. Most likely I will only use it maybe once or twice a month so I dont really want to pay $3 500 for it....
btw, the price included freight and I got $2500 off MSRP

Re: About to place an order for Q5
That's a good price for the car and its options seems fairly consistent with what I've read regarding all other prices paid. Excellent car you will love it and your logic makes sense. Enjoy it.

Re: About to place an order for Q5
I too am about to place an order for a Q5.
Couple of questions...
-Locking wheel nuts - Dealership charges $800 for mudflaps and locking wheel nuts. I don't want the mudflaps.... How easy is it to buy the locking nuts myself and have a mechanic put them on??
-S Line Grille - sweet grille... thinking about asking to get just the grille (not the whole s line package)
-Wheels - coming with 18's. I will be getting full set of summer wheels and tires next year, but should I upgrade to 19's to use for winter??
The more suggestions the better

Re: About to place an order for Q5
Are you looking for the locks for you winter rims? Factory already comes with locks. But you can always pick up locks range between 50-100 (set of 4) and install them yourself. I would buy good quality locks. I've had locks break on me in the past but the Q5 comes with them.
One of the members got the grill switched upon ordering. Cost him just under 600 dollars all in. I have also inquired on changing git after the fact. Grill is $485 plus 1 hour of labor you're looking at about $700. So try and get the dealership to do it at the time of ordering it'll be cheaper. The pumper has to come off for this. Both S and non S grills have identical size and bolt patterns.
For winters 18" is the recommended size for Q5 I wouldn't go bigger I have 18" winters and it's perfect.
Good luck.

Re: About to place an order for Q5
The quoted price has $800 for "mudflaps/ locking wheels", but as you say, the wheels come with locking bolts??
Did anyone else see this on their invoice?
(I haven't paid yet, so no worries
Warcity - your Q5 just came with the locking wheels? No $800 charge on the invoice?
...going to stick with the 18's

Re: About to place an order for Q5
Yes the wheels for sure come with locking bolts ( have seen it on mine).
I wouldn't get mudflaps for the Q5 doesn't look good, also you can get them for 100 dollars OEM on ebay.
Mine didn't come with $800.00 invoice I am sure of it.
On several popular sites for Q5 the recommended winter size is 18" so that's a great choice and looks awesome.
Have a look at my winter Rim here, bought them from a local shop in Toronto, it's a RS4 Replica with winter tires installed for 1600.00.

Re: About to place an order for Q5
Nice!!!!! Good price too. Does this shop sell to Calgary customers? Do they have a website I can peek at?
I will definitely be questioning the $800...
My plan is to use the factory 18's that come with all-season as my 'winter' tires and get some amazing summer wheels... 20's
