Default 2013 Q5 Fuel Consumption - 2.0T vs 3.0T?

I'm trying to compare the fuel consumption but not having any luck. The 3.0 is not listed on Audi and I cannot find reliable figures online.

Can someone confirm how the 2.0 and 3.0 Q5s compare in terms of fuel consumption?

Considering I am getting Premium Plus + maybe some other options, it actually sounds like the 3.0 might even work out to be cheaper if that makes any sense? Or at least a LOT closer in price...

Here you go. The US uses a different test and their numbers are closer to real world than those put out by the Canadian government/

Remember, numbers are in miles per US gallon.

Interesting!

So the Q5 3.0 basically costs on average $200 more/year? That's not too shabby in my opinion...

That's based on US fuel prices you would have to add 20 to 25% to that in Canada so say $250 per year. I don't think fuel economy alone is a huge reason to choose the 2.0.

We went back and forth between them and finally decided on the 2.0. Bit lower operating cost, better weight distribution should make for more balanced handling and the fact they were giving a pretty good deal on one on the lot with the options and colour we wanted didn't hurt. So far I have found the power to be quite adequate but my boy racer days are behind me. Might not still be saying that after taking it into the mountains but we'll see. Can always go the Stasis route and keep the warranty if I feel the need for a few more pony's I guess.

The 3.0 was pretty impressive but I would probably go for the TDI if I was making a switch.
