2013 Q5 Demo?
Calling all dealers!!!
My wife drives a beaten up Nissan Versa, while I'm still enjoying my 2010 A4. After a whole year of thinking and dreaming, we have finally decided to move on. We are thinking of planning a family as well, so SUV is the only choice. Being an Audi driver for 4 years now, I'm never turning my back on Audi.
We are on a tighter than normal budget as we are buying a house, so I want to save where we can. Hence I'm looking for a 2013 Demo. We don't need anything fancy..
Any idea how much one would cost? and where they may be available still? When I bought my A4, I got 7% off MSRP, I don't think I will have that luxury this time around.
Any help is appreciated!

Re: 2013 Q5 Demo?
i gave up on looking for a demo as they are flying off the shelves like hotcakes. The dealer gave me a deal that I cannot refuse, so I took it. Can't wait. It's in Halifax right now...
Question for you guys, the dealer is offering some extra purchases (of course). Does anyone know what the 3M Full Protection is and is it worth it? same question for something called Xzilon.

@ $699 a month tx in, you got a steal. I should have brought you along for the negotiation.

Re: 2013 Q5 Demo?
I love 3M protective film. I went with the full hood/fender version. Pricey, but the roads out here are gravel almost all year round, so it saves me the stress of rock chips. Not sure what xailon is, but probably some sort of film like 3M.

I assume like myself you keep your cars for a very long time and take very good care of them...
The Q5 is a dream car and perfect for a small family
I did some extensive research and based on "maitre absolute" and from additional reading on the forums I contacted Audi prestige and was very honest with them:
I told them that I was looking to pay a "fair price" and would consider purchasing a Q5 negotiating from the invoice price up rather than from the sticker MRSP down
You see the dealer even when selling at invoice or below invoice they are still making a profit especially on adds on like paint protection, insurance...etc so I strongly recommend you consider a brand new one since it might offer better rates, rebates...etc
The dealer also makes a profit on financing...
3M, winter mags/tires, tint...do them locally from trusted independent shops for much cheaper than the dealer
Slightly used Q5 remain quite expensive since the demand on them is crazy and since I was looking to replace wifey's old Mazda we finally opted for a loaded pearl white EX with black/carbon fiber interior and technology galore with exceptional long term reliability
The Q5 is an amazing vehicle and you cannot go wrong with it, just be prepared accordingly. Also the new Q5 will not be launched anytime soon it will wait for the launch of the redesigned Q7 once the new 2016 Mexican plant will be up and running
Best of luck
Here is our new baby lol

Re: 2013 Q5 Demo?
i actually thought of buying a EX37. We tried it out with a baby car seat in the back and it wouldn't fit. When I was moving the driver seat to suit me, it was crushing the baby car seat. We didn't want any of that. =)
