newbie here to the forum - lovin' it already as the discussions are very imformative. I'm not an Audi owner yet as I usually buy Japanese and run them to the ground.

I need to replace my 94 Nissan Altima as the family has now grown and need a 7 seater. I am really impressed with the Q7 and loved its ride when I took it out for a test drive. My wife was also impressed too.

I had a sweet deal on a brand new 2010 Q7 TDI (only had 44 clicks on it of which we put on 20). It's config was:
S-line
Ibis White
Navi
Audio
Tow pkg
Tech pkg
Sunroof
3rd row

but for an additional $960, I decided to sweat it out for a 2011. I didn't get the tow pkg as I would never use it but opted for the Ventillated seats which I would use.

I was only able to get $2500 off MSRP (~3%) + $2500 SPP but I'm sure I could have gotten a little more (not sure if I can do anthing about it now since I signed the deal, but I just want to know how bad a negotiator I am ). The SPP could change for 2011 as the current promo ends June 30, 2010 and the car won't be delivered until Jul/Aug.

If anybody else pre-ordered a similar config for their 2011 Q7 TDI, what kind of discount did you get? Just curious!

sweet ride. I love the new LED pattern in the front and the rear of the Q7.

Am thinking of ordering an '11 Tdi but looking at a few '10's
What is SPP?
What price did you get down to on the '10?

SPP is Audi's Supplier Purchase Program. If you work for one of their suppliers or your company owns a fleet of 5 or more cars/trucks, they may qualify to be added to the list. I would ask the sales rep to check the list to see if you qualify. You'd be surprised how many companies are on it. There are different rebate amounts based on whether you are leasing, financing, or paying cash. Only thing is that the SPP offer expires at the end of June 2010 and Audi have not released details for the new program yet. For the above '10 config, I was able to get just over 5% discount + $2500 for SPP as it was a cash deal. Like I said, for less than 1K it made sense to go with '11 which is expected to arrive at the end of July.

Hey Warcity,

Yeah, they do look SHARP!!!! Now I'm in wait mode, waiting for the dealer to tell me that my Q7 is on the production line, on the ship, in Halifax, on the trailer, at the dealership, and finally ready for pick up.

Though the '11 Q7's aren't expected 'til end of July, early August, who knows where I am in line with others to get mine.

One other thing - does anyone know if we are getting the new TDI engine in Canada for 2011?

I think I saw on one site that it was not coming to Canada and another that it would be included nearer the end of the year. So not really sure, sorry!

But I think the 8-speed triptronic tranny will be included.

Maybe Afretes may have more info on that!

Talked to the SA for an update.

Status upgraded to "15 - Production Stock"
Production Date: week of June 28, 2010
Ship load date: ~July 7
Arrive Halifax: ~July 16
Dealer: ~23rd July

Wooohooo! The wait is killing me but at least I have some expectations now.

Other than Wallenius Wilhelmsen Logistics, does anybody know which other shipper Audi uses to Canada?
