2011 Q5 2.0 'chipping'
Hello all,
I absolutely love my 2 month old Q5. I am now looking into the possibility of taking advantage of the extra potential with this vehicle. While I have searched many Audi forums with regards to this, I am still left with several questions...especially after talking to people on the street also.
1. Advantage of Revo vs APR vs GIAC
2. Effect on warranty (most seem to say it voids...but recently have heard that Revo may not...and is in fact being installed at some dealer locations???not sure here)
3. Since I do not drive my Q5 that hard in the first place, will there really be any long term side effects/ reduced reliability to having it done?
4. Where do people recommend getting it done in the GTA (I live about 45 minutes north of TO)
5. Has anyone had this done to their Q5 2.0...and what is your feedback?
I truly appreciate all feedback with regards to this matter.
Cheers,
Greg

Stasis Engineering has an arrangement with Audi for their engine tuning. I haven't heard of anyone who has had this done yet, but warranty is apparently unaffected. This may mean that warranty items linked to the tune itself are covered by Stasis, but I haven't seen the paper on it. There appear to be two places that handle Stasis in the GTA. Links on the stasis site:
STaSIS - Chassis and Engine Tuning for Audi Performance cars & Alcon Braking Components
base: 2.0 TFSI 211 HP, 258 ft.lbs
Stasis: 261 hp, 305 ft.lbs. That is apparently with 91-93 oct. Not sure about ABT gas requirements.

Apparently Pfaff in Vaughan will do it for you. Not sure which they use, heard approximately $700. If the dealer will do it for you I cannot imagine this would void your warranty, but ask them. I would call up their service department and ask for the particulars. Good luck and let us know how it goes after the fact, am considering it for my 2.0 Avant this summer. Cheers.

I will definitely reprogram the ECU a few months after I get mine. That's one of the reason why I got the 2.0T. Some of my previous and current cars had twice and three times the amount of power compared to what they had coming out of the factory.
