HeLp WiTh 86 5000
HEy guys,
I have a 86 5000 quattro Turbo, I am wanting to put a full intercooler kit on it and i want to bypass the old airbox. ie put a filter right on my turbo inlet then intercooler kit from the turbo and well you know where it all goes... So anyone know if i can bypass the airbox that would be awsome so let me know! Thanks Cal

i dont think you can do that, i have the same car and its CIS injected(mechanical injection) so how is the cis plate going to lift proportionally to dump necessary fueling ? cant be done sorry. just upgrade your cooler your better bet is to look up "Benjamin Swann" great guy to deal with and sells what your looking for

That is Ben's Website. I Had a 86 5000 Turbo Quattro, Ordered his 2.0T chip and got a Wastegate Spring from www.034motorspot.com. I was making massive amounts of power in it. Upgrade the Exhaust and Intercooler set up ontop of the CHip and wastegate spring and most street cars won't stand a chance.
