Re: Engine Chip Reviews
With APR and multiple code slots, suggestions for code in slot 1... if the battery is disconnected, the car defaults back to slot 1 code so install whatever code you want to be default. If someone else (dealer, etc) works on your car, you may not want the high performance code in slot 1

Daily Driver B5 S4 solder in chipped with APR by Tom at H2Sport. Purchased during Waterfest sale and $aved. Both APR and H2Sport are great companies, very smooth, solder in supports flip switch while driving. Currently running Stage 2+ APR file on upgraded K04 Turbo's so may go GIAC with MBC to get to next level as APR doesn't like 2.7T MBC's. GIAC is also easier to tweak with Lemmiwinks.

Re: Engine Chip Reviews
lemmiwinks would be used to fine tune your allready chip tuned car. It is free software from REVO. Do not tune with lemminwinks unless you are sure of what you are doing, this program has the capability of messing things up real good. GIAC and APR both offer flash tuning, other companies like ASP, Eurolabs, MTM and others

Re: Engine Chip Reviews
I used REVO Software personally. Most of friends now have the REVO chip, it's not like a '91' or '93' static flash like APR or the soldered in GIAC, REVO is dynamic as well as user friendly.
REVO is awesome for the end user, you can modify a Stage 1 flash with the purchase of the 'Select' or 'Select Plus' hardware you can change 3 different engine controls:
1) Fuel - from 87 octane to C16 race fuel in 9 increments
2) Ignition - advance or retard timing as you wish
3) Boost - from less than stock to over 25 psi using the factory boost control

Re: Engine Chip Reviews
I dyno'd yesterday afternoon and I must say I was a little disappointed. An hour later Chris Tapp (Eurodyne.ca) was installing 60lb injectors, diverter valve and custom tune. Car is completely different. I will be dynoing again next week and will pass along cost/benefit if anyone is intersted.

If your going to do your own maintenance, suggest to buy a manual like Bentley from Audi Repair Manual, Audi Service Manual for A4 A6 S6 TT A3 Sedan Wagon for $65. That and VAG-COM are the best investments you can make in order to perform your own maintenance.
