i purchased the K&N filter for the air box and swapped it for the old one. the fit was really tight , had a little bow in in it actually, checkedthe part number and it was correct seemed to be almost 3/16 to long .? i got it in tho and put it all back together. but now the car has a slight howl and the box doesn't seem to look 100% closed flat due to the design of the box (uses 2 screws and hing like design at the other end) has anyone done this to there cars or exp the same thing...?? should i opt for another intake type..? maybe go cone type? ( heard the box is more than good enough)
any response or tips would be great. thank you to all

i just use the oem, not much difference in performance considering the cost difference plus i'm too lazy to clean and prep it.
