A4 2002 3.0l - remapping, chiping or what???
I am running the above captioned car and have been researching the benefits of tuning it via a remap or chip. The opinions are mixed! At one end, people say that there would be very little difference. On the other, some say that a 20 hp addition would result and exist throughout the range of the rpm gauge and would give me faster response and possibly fuel efficiency.
I would like to hear from someone who has made this mod or vendors and experts who are confident about this matter.
Thanks to all that respond.

Hello
Software upgrade on a naturally aspirated engine can have a positive result, but not as obvious as a turbo engine.
You should definitely see an improvement in throttle response, as well as mid-range torque, and top-end power output.
Do not expect anything over 10% in figures, and bargain the price to a logical usd/hp ratio

Thanks very much for responding. Two quick clarifications... What do you mean by 'bargain the price to a logical usd/hp ratio'? Do you recommend a particular software?
