New to site
Hi all,
I'm down in New Hampshire, USA. Found this site while researching how to reset the service indicator on my 2010 A4. I did my own 15K mile service and can't reset the computer.
Apparently the reset is a function not available to the consumer - reflecting Audi's climb upscale to that wealth zone where "do-it-yourselfers" are not meant to be found, on average. Also I suppose the strategy is to force the owners to use dealer service.
I can say that my ScanGuage II is fun to plug into this car, but does not interface with the car deeply enough to reset the service interval.
I had hoped to avoid buying VAG.com and a windows based machine to run it. But I will be doing my own oil changes for the duration.
I tried to upload photo, but the .jpg is too big. Red car sitting in dooryard, snow everywhere.
Cheers.

Re: New to site
No easy way out.
Either buy VAG.com, which is nice I suppose, or go to the shop. I think to use dealer next time, with a discount coupon, and also to get the free loaner. I will drop off on Saturday and return Monday- and ask for a nice A3 to use. Their loaner A4s are all trashed.
Friend has VAG.com but he's 400 miles away.
cheers.

Welcome to the forums! You'll definitely find a ton of info on your car here.
As for your service light, you may be able to find some members here that have a VAG com near you.
Ask around and you may get lucky
