New member considering 2015 A3 Cabriolet
Hello everyone, not only am I new to the forum but hoping to buy a new A3 Cab around September. What I would much prefer is the S3 version and although the sedan version is coming to Canada, there's no news about the Cab version. Would anyone know what the chances are to see the S3 Cab as I would hate to buy the A3 only to see the S3 arrive a few months after.
Looking forward to reading your posts and to contribute as much as I can.
Thanks
Bob

Re: New member considering 2015 A3 Cabriolet
Bob,
I did buy a 2015 A3 Cabrio Progressif in September. FIRST AUDI.
Did you wait it out and get one when they arrived.
Lovely ride - BUT - 2 fairly annoying problems right out of the factory!
It has already spent WEEKS at dealer. I haven't managed to put even 1200 Km on yet. A3 needs to go in a 3RD time for the #1 problem!
1. "Key Not Recognized" : Always unlocks the doors, but both fobs "Not Recognized" quite often. Sometimes have to re-press the START button up to 10 times!! They already changed both fobs / modules / antenna / batteries ... WORST part - very surprising - there's no mechanical slot to start with the physical key?
2. Trouble refueling : It triggers most gas pump nozzles to release 6, 8, 10 times during a fill. 2 dealers already told me they had heard of this ( great - maybe they should let Audi know). Its the first car I ever had to struggle to refuel.
I noted a couple of MMI usability issues they could have done much better - but first woudl love to hear if anyone has had similar issues to 1. and 2. ?

Re: New member considering 2015 A3 Cabriolet
Hi Ralph, I took delivery of my Technik S Line in Sep. I have also experienced the same issue when refuelling but only once. I found the car not well prepared (head lights too low, rear camera too low, windshield nozzle aiming too high, my keyfob won't open/close windows/roof as designed).
Dealer was really great during the purchase process but service has gone down hill very quickly once I took delivery. Prestige Audi in Saint Laurent has disappointed me with their (lack) of customer service.
I do love the car however I expected more for the price. My VW Eos has some great options that I don't see in my Audi. I'm considering switching dealers for my service.

After THIRD Service visit for the same "Key Not Recognized" problem it's not solved. Audi refused to order in a new key again - but they Don't know ( or will not say) what the problem is. They now want another week - 2 weeks to investigate further.
Seems likely they released this new A3 model with firmware flaws the can't figure out. Their procedures don't seem to be too concerned with customer having to return 4 or more times.
The car drive beautifully once the start button actually works. I'm hoping to enjoy the ride elsewhere than only on the highway between my home and Audi Service
Bob enjoy yours once you get the prep issues sorted out.
