Gruess Gott, fellow Audi fans!
Hi All,
My name is John, I'm from Edmonton, and I just picked up a slightly used but obviously much loved 2005 Audi TT Quattro.
I've been a fan of German cars for many years - generally BMW. Had an 87 325i cabriolet (trade-in on the TT), and still have my 98 328i sedan. The irony is that I just spent leave in Germany and was at the BMW Museum and BMW Welt in Munich...where I bought overpriced BMW-wear...now I have to go to Ingolstadt!! (To buy overpriced Audi-wear?)
Why the shift to Audi? I was always thrilled with the styling and design of the TT, and wanted an all-wheel drive capability for these Alberta winters. And I've been increasingly disappointed with BMW's design philosophy, which was (in my opinion) getting farther and farther removed from the roots that made it great. That's my rationale, anyway, but at the heart of it all I wanted a car with "WOW". So far, the Audi delivers!
I look forward to learning what I can from you all.
Cheers,
John
