Another first time Audi owner... 1995 Cab.
To start, I'll confess I'm actually from the states, but I found this to be the most active Audi forum from my search.
I just brought home a 1995 Cabriolet two days ago. As a convertible, I love it- it's one of the tightest fitting converts I've been in. As a car, it sucks- there are a lot of problems... I won't even begin to list them here.
So obviously I joined to get info on bringing the car back to normal working order.
I'm 19 and this is my 7th vehicle.. one of 3 I currently own. I've been a diehard GM fan because of the low cost of maintaining and ease of working on them. The Audi is the new daily driver replacing my 96 S10 (nice little lowrider, and now for sale). My other car is a 1994 Chevy Beretta Z26. That's my all out show car, and I've dumped a TON of money in it. I recently won best custom interior and best custom exterior with it. Anyway... working on cars is nothing new, but working on this damn Audi is a whole new ball game.
The car is dark green with black top and tan interior. For some reason, it has rims from a 94... which in my opinion look better than the 95 rims.
The car has 184,000 miles, and it's showing its' age.
I will post pictures someday, but I'll leave it at that for now.

If you like dumping money into cars, a used 90's Cabriolet is the car for you. I'm 24 and I've dumped my life savings into my '94 (thanks for the compliment on the wheels) and I still have issues I can't come to grips with. I have put about $7,000 into mine and it still looks like a piece. My transmission went out basically right after I bought it (about the same time my hydraulic system in the convertible top spilled its guts so I had to replace all the hoses which cost $600 each from Audi as well as a new rear window which cost $600 to replace) at about 115,000 miles. A new transmission is gonna run you probably $2,500 at least to have a shop do it. I have recently replaced my front struts, all the brakes, calipers and rotors, as well as all four tires lol, and the rear struts need replacing but guess what, only Audi can get them and to have them installed is gonna run about $850. I have a $500 CD player in there along with new rear speakers because the old ones stopped working right when I bought it and I just couldn't live with the original tape deck anyway. I am pretty sure the next thing to go is the alternator because it is so oxidize it looks like it was left in the ocean for a couple years. I'm just glad the canvas is still holding up, although it doesn't look quite new, and the hydraulic fluid pump is still working for now, those are a mere $4,000 each for the canvas and the hydraulic pump). Something is wrong with the top now though because it wont do much more than life the rear lid that the top goes down into. The AC hasn't worked since I got it and the cruise control stopped working. For some reason the whole HVAC system is totally crummy, it only blows luek warm air when it's on full blast a humble rate. There is a wood grain piece of plastic in the center console that surrounds the dials, that is cracked on my car, that thing costs over $400 according to Audi. LOL, anyway, like I said, if you like putting money into cars, you've got the right one. To think I have paid for all of this while going to college. I think in the last 2 years I have put about $20,000 into my cars (I finally sold my '85 4000s Quattro after that thing nickle and dimed me to death).
Anyway, congrats on the Beretta, I had a friend who had a really beat up one about that same year.
