It's under controller 17-Instruments. He just needs to subtract 16 from the software coding that you have listed in that controller. He should be familiar enough with the process to understand that. You can always print the picture for him too.

Thanks. They are my winter wheels for the Q5. Was going to take them off last night to get the summers back on but ran out of time.

I ordered a set of sensors from TireRack (a little under $260 - all in). Took everything to Independent for installation and balancing. Mark and his guys did a great job, as he not only installed and balanced, he checked with the VAG-Com for sensor signals.

Here is the reset sequence, following installation of new sensors or wheels. Perhaps specific to my year and model? Note my new sensors were the same 315 Mhz, with Audi/VW logos as OEM.

1. turn on you car and hold the reset for 5 secs. to initiate the communication between car and sensors. The car will not find them and it will show the Tpms warning.
2. Turn off ignition, and leave the car for 20 minutes (turned off).
3. Start the car, hit the reset tpms button when warning comes on
4. Drive for at least 3 minutes at 25 kph or more. TPMS will reset and warning light will go off

Feels so much better to drive at speeds >95 kph once again. Tires are smooth and quiet compared to winters.

thanks to everyone for their help,

Alan
