any ideas which number or numbers of wires i need to pull out of the switch? there are about 15 - 20 of them nicely numbered...
For a 2004 your DRL's can be enabled through the vag-com, you do not need to wire anything other then to bypass the DRL switch.

Tried that first... apparently the TTs didn't get the headlight control module until 2007?? Or so my Audi Tech says (Audi Tech is not in the same City as I am or I would not have these problems)... I have had the car hooked up to a VAG-Com and the guy doing it said he couldn't access the lights - he did manage to change all my readouts from miles to km for me though

I have called a shop here in Victoria 2x and they still haven't returned my call to even book a time to look at it for me. 'bypass the DRL switch' sounded so simple! LOL but once i opened it up not so sure i'm up to the task - oh and my headlight switch has 4 settings: off, park lights, headlights and pull out for fog lights - no seperate DRL switch -

K, let me help you out before you come to a conclusion and dump your money away. You have a 2004 Audi TT, what engine? what options? Automatic? manual? The guy that re-coded it did he switch the country codes in Module 17, to Canada? This should only switch the Miles to KM's. On the left hand side of the steering wheel, is there a DRL switch? If there is, your wiring is very simple then and you do not need to tincker around anything else. But please answer those questions first.

SUCCESS!

for future reference... on an 04 TT you do not need to tear apart the whole lower portion of the dash. In the end all I needed to do was pop out the switch, unplug it jump wires 13 and 14 to the big red/black wire at the end postion (1 I think) and presto park lights that come on when you turn the key and can't be overriden by the switch.
